Wirksworth Conservation area - Residential extension

Work is on site for a stone built extension to this historic Derbyshire property. Located within the Wirksworth Conservation Area, it is covered by the Wirksworth Article 4 Direction.

The building works will add a single-storey ground floor extension to the property to provide a further bedroom. The rear of the property has an existing mono-pitch lean-to extension which will be extended, aligning the frontage wall, eaves line and ridge. The new build addition will have a dual pitched roof, patio doors and roof lights.

The extension is to be built from matching materials (stonework and roof covering) so that it remains sympathetic to the main house and complies with the planners requirements for works undertaken within this part of the Wirksworth Conservation Area.
