Light Filled Sustainable Home

Creating an energy efficient but contemporary home was a top priority for this clients brief. The design for this home is currently in for planning with a view to construction starting in 2022.

The home encompases solar gain from the sun, absorbing the heat within the building's thermally massive floor and wall construction. The walls and roof will be packed with high performance insulation, windows tripple glazed and wet underfloor heating. Overheating is prevented with overhangs which created built-in balconies for two of the bedrooms.
