Cavendish - Affordable housing, community parking and allotments
Recently we have been working with the Matlock Community Land Trust to come up with a balanced plan to provide the local community with affordable houses, some valuable parking, open space and allotments. This is our alternative plan to the Council's plan to sell the land at Cavendish (the former, now closed off parking site) for the development of 30 houses. We think this would be a great development for the local community, allowing local people to afford local housing and bringing back some Matlock allotments after the Starkholmes ones were bulldozed last year.
